Requirements
You have successfully completed a university course or degree program in business, industrial engineering or fashion/textile technology. In addition, you have gained international experience in the form of traineeships or semesters spent abroad. Your English is excellent, and ideally you can also speak German and another language. Good social, communication and teamwork skills are just as important to us as an analytical approach and a strong sense of commitment.
Trainee Program
For us, today's trainees are tomorrow's potential managers. In our opinion, the theoretical knowledge gained in a college or university degree program provides an important foundation for a successful start to any career. Yet that only represents the beginning. Employment in a corporate setting then offers an opportunity to continue learning, diversify one's skills and gain invaluable practical experience.
For this reason, HUGO BOSS has established a trainee program which lasts for approximately 12 months and is keyed to the following areas:
- Retail
- Finances
- Logistics
- Technology

You will become acquainted with the various corporate and operational areas of our organization and given the opportunity to put your theoretical knowledge into practice. The trainee program is designed to help you shape the content of your traineeship according to your interests within the assigned area - in conjunction with the HR Development department.
This approach guarantees a great deal of flexibility, because it allows the program to be adapted to your personal strengths and prior knowledge. The period spent on each of your assignments will vary, depending upon how much time you need to complete the tasks allocated to you. An integral part of the program is a sojourn spent at one of our subsidiaries outside Germany. This will last from a minimum of six weeks to four months.
The traineeship consists of on-the-job training, i.e. actively participating in the day-to-day workings of the assigned area, flanked by a special project and off-the-job activities. These will include companion seminars and visits to other areas to facilitate your professional and personal development. Regular feedback meetings will take place with the Human Resources department, during which you will tell us about your experiences, and we will jointly discuss the next steps in your program.
To help you gauge and consolidate your own progress, a status report and assessment will be issued by your superior whenever you complete an assignment. Following the traineeship, you will assume sole responsibility for a specific task in your key area for a limited period. This project will enable you to acquire a thorough knowledge and experience of the processes involved, and form an important building block in your ongoing career at HUGO BOSS.
Permanent Positions
Naturally, as a college or university graduate, you can also choose to enter the area of your choice directly, i.e. with a permanent position. Strategic on-the-job training, a tutorship system, individually designed induction programs, and a series of informational events for new staff provide ideal conditions for a promising career start.
